Henry Fogel: Once Upon a Time in Chicago CD
In celebration of WFMT’s 75th anniversary, Henry Fogel, former president of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and host of Collectors’ Corner, dipped into his personal library to prepare an album of favorite artists who appeared with the CSO during the 1951-52 season. They include pianists Claudio Arrau, Jorge Bolet, Myra Hess, and William Kappell; singers George London and Zinka Milanov, and conductors Rafael Kubelik and Bruno Walter.
