Florence Price: Beyond the Years - Karen Slack and Michelle Cann CD
Two artists active in Chicago’s classical music scene collaborate to record 19 unpublished songs by Florence Price. Soprano Karen Slack made a thrilling debut with the Grant Park Orchestra last summer and was recently named Lyric Opera of Chicago Artist-in-Residence. Michelle Cann was a soloist at Grant Park in 2022 and 2023 and made her debut with Chicago Symphony Orchestra Rhapsody in Blue at Ravinia in 2024. Beyond the Years is the winner of the 2025 Grammy award for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album.
