The solo debut album from Huw Montague Rendall demonstrates the multiple facets of the rising star British baritone’s talent and his exceptional stylistic sensitivity. Montague Rendall has already performed the roles of Billy Budd, Don Giovanni, Papageno (Magic Flute), Count Almaviva (Marriage of Figaro), and Mercutio (Roméo et Juliette) to acclaim. Arias featured on the album come from these operas as well as ones which are expected to be added to his repertoire. Contemplation also includes orchestral songs, the charming Papageno/Papagena duet, and “Soliloquy” from Carousel.
